Minutes of Meeting of January 11, 2012
Senior Center, Conference Room, 7:00 p.m.

Board of Health: Present: Richard Willecke,  Lezli Rowell, John O’Hara, Ken Granlund,  Agent Greenberg-Lemos and Christine Bates Committee Secretary

1.      Title V Variances Requests

a)      Gyory, 100 Ione Road, Map 28, Parcel 69, septic upgrade  
David Lajoie represented the applicant, stating there are two failed cesspools.  He requested two variances.  Lezli Rowell moved to approve Felco, Inc. plan 11099 dated 12/28/11 and grant the variances requested in the letter of 12/28/11 for the upgrade of a septic system to serve a three bedroom structure in compliance with the nitrogen loading limitation subject to the following conditions:
        1.      Design flow is to be limited to 333 gpd, to serve three (3) bedrooms
                2.      The well water shall be tested and found potable, with results copied to the Health Department, prior to issuance of the disposal Works Permit.
                3.      Any restriction in design flow and all conditions shall be recorded against the deed for the property at the Registry in Barnstable, and proof of deed recording shall be submitted to the Health Department prior to                   the issuance of  the Disposals Works Permit.
seconded by John O’Hara; passed 3-0..  

2.      Business
Agent Greenberg-Lemos stated she has received some requests to have occupations at residence.  Two examples were a request to manufacture ice cream and the other was for manufacturing hot sauce/salsa.  This is a section of ISC code for Title 5 and she stated she is gathering further information regarding the regulations..
