In anticipation of the passing of the proposed federal tax legislation, the Treasurer/Collector’s office will begin accepting pre-payments of your third and fourth quarter real estate tax bills on December 12, 2017. You may call that office at 508-358-3635 to obtain the actual amounts due. Payments may be remitted either directly to this office during business hours (see below), or use the drop box that is located in the front hallway of Town Hall. Our offices will close at 12:30 pm on December 29, 2017. Any payments placed
in the drop box after 12:30 on December 29 but before the open of business on January 2, 2018 will be credited with a payment date of December 31, 2017. If you want a receipt, you must physically come in to the office. Due to software limitations, you will NOT be able to pay your bills on-line or via Century Bank’s lockbox in Medford. Additionally, please keep in mind that state law prohibits us from honoring postmarks. If you choose to make your payment using an e-check process through your bank, be sure you allow for enough mailing time.
