Finance Committee Debt Exclusion Recommendation and Presentation

The proposed debt exclusion will finance $350,000 for school technology infrastructure and equipment in grades K-8 and $530,000 for planning and development of two athletic fields at Wayland Middle School.

The text of the ballot question to be voted at the April 5 Town Election is:
"Shall the Town of Wayland be allowed to exempt from the provisions of proposition two and one-hald, so-called, the amounts required to pay for the bond issued in order to (i) purchase school technology equipment and (ii) plan and develop additional athletic and playing fields?"

The FY2012 operating and capital budget will be recommended by the Finance Committee for voter approval at the 2011 Annual Town Meeting which begins on Thursday, April 7 at 7:30 p.m. at Wayland Middle School.  Adjourned sessions of town meeting will be held on Sunday, April 10 at 1:00 p.m. and (if necessary) on Monday, April 11 at 7:30 p.m.
