4. Other Cemetery Business
Discuss request from John A. Westgate, Sr. to have the deed for lot 247 graves 1 thru 8 in the Centre Annex transferred from his wife, Sherry L. Westgate to himself and his granddaughter, Jonele S. Westgate.
Discuss Noreen Messina’s request to re-situate headstones in the Centre Cemetery. Review response to Noreen Messina’s request.
Discuss and vote to insert a Cemetery article requesting $20,000.00 from the account, sale of lots and graves, to be used for cemetery expenditures. This article will be acted on as a special article at the Spring Town Meeting..
Discuss the status of the survey being conducted at the Agawam Cemetery for the cemetery expansion.
Discuss presentation of cemetery mapping.
Discuss insurance claim for tree damage during Hurricane Irene along with hiring of an arborist to inspect tree damages.
Discuss damage to the Cole stones located in the Centre Cemetery.
Discuss sheriff department working in the cemeteries this spring and summer.
Discuss idea of Clean-up Day within the Cemeteries with assistance from the Garden Club.
Explore the possibility of depositing receivables for Cemetery Internments and Foundations into its own revolving or enterprise fund.
