MEETING CALLED TO ORDER BY CHAIRMAN
Chairman Tropeano called the meeting to order at 4:05 P.M.
ROLL CALL
MOTION: Chairman Tropeano moved to make Selectman Cynthia Chamberlain Temporary Clerk for this evening. Selectman Mary Jane Pillsbury seconded.

Selectman Tropeano asked the Board of Selectmen to enter into executive session for purposes of discussion relative to litigation.
MOTION: Selectman Pillsbury moved at 4:07 P.M. to enter into Executive Session for the purposes of discussion relative to litigation. Selectman Chamberlain seconded.
POLLED VOTE: Selectman Tropeano – Yes
Selectman Pillsbury – Yes
Selectman Chamberlain – Yes
VOTE: Unanimous (3-0-0)
At 4:35 p.m. the board voted to exit executive session back into open session. Motion made by Selectman Chamberlain and seconded by Selectman Fernandes-Abbott.
At this time, Gerry Furrier of CDM, Mark Gifford, Municipal Maintenance Director, David Simmons, WPCF Plant Operator entered for workshop meeting on I & I. Mr. Furrier handed out CDM slide proposal regarding infiltration and inflow and led the board through information. Discussion ensued.
Mr. Furrier distributed a copy of a certified letter from EPA received by Mr. Gifford relative to I & I and operation and maintenance of sewer system.
Mr. Furrier continued discussion on CDM I & I slide show handout. Selectman Sauvageau entered meeting at 4:50 p.m.
Focus of discussion turned to taking steps to eliminate illegal sump pump connections through a building inspection program. Enforcement issues, how to implement, etc. Discussion ensued re: should homeowner, town or combination approach be used to enforce and implement a program.
Discussion moved to how to best employ board of health and inspectional services with regard to identifying sump pumps and other illegal connections.
Discussion turned to 40B and 40A developments relative to paying for I & I. It was the consensus of the Board it should be consistent for all.
Mr. Hartman and Mr. Furrier will rework numbers and get answers for a few points and questions and bring back for June 15 meeting of board of selectmen when Mr. Furrier gives monthly report.
Selectman Tropeano brought up concerns relative to Glen Charlie Road and speeding and heavy trucks. He has received a lot of complaints from residents. Mr. Hartman suggested now that seasonal officers are coming on, perhaps additional patrols would be in order.
Motion made by Selectman Sauvageau, seconded by Selectman Fernandes-Abbott to adjourn the meeting at 6:02 p.m.
