 Minutes of October 1, 2001 Meeting





Chris Cronan called the meeting to order @ 7:00 p.m.

Present: Board Members: Chris Cronan (Chairman), John Manter, Harold Pinkham, Terry Studley, Steve Shaler
Town Officials: William Reed (Manager), Allan Thomas (CEO), and Robb Freeman (Comp Plan), Beckie-Jo Woods (Deputy Clerk),
Applicant Representatives/Members of the Public:

Consideration of Minutes

-John Manter stated that on page 3 of the 07/31/01 minutes, he did not close the public hearing; he continued it until the next meeting.
-Terry Studley moved to accept the July 31, 2001 minutes as revised.
-Harold Pinkham seconded the motion. Three members were in favor. Steve Shaler was not present at time of motion. Chris Cronan abstained from voting. Motion passed.

Item 1:Continuation of Public Hearing on the new Comprehensive Plan:

Chris Cronan called the public hearing to order @ 7:01 P.M.

There were no members of the public, and no comments were made.

-Allan Thomas stated that there hasn
-Terry Studley inquired as to what the official process is for changing items in the Comprehensive Plan after it has been approved.
-John Manter explained that the Comprehensive Plan could be amended at any time. He also stated that he feels the planning board has done everything they could do get public interest.

-Steve Shaler, Terry Studley and Harold Pinkham suggested closing the public hearing and presenting the Comprehensive Plan to the Council.
-Chris Cronan stated that he would like to review the Comprehensive Plan one more time to do some fine-tuning.









-Chris Cronan moved to forward the Comprehensive Plan to the council for approval, subject to comments from the public and the state. Terry Studley seconded the motion.

John Manter suggested continuing the deliberations until the next meeting when the Board has comments from the State Planning Office, and neighboring towns and cities.

Chris Cronan withdrew the previous motion
Terry Studley withdrew his second to the motion.

- Chris recommended continuing the deliberations until the next meeting, to incorporate the State Planning Office and neighboring towns and cities
Tuesday the 13th of November next meeting


-Chris Cronan moved to adjourn the meeting @ 7:45 p.m.
