Council Minutes June 10, 2008
PRESENT:        Chairman Friedman, Councilor Parker, Councilor Perkins, Councilor King, Councilor Hathaway were present. Also present were Town Manager Reed, Fire Chief Martin and no members of the public.
                
ITEM 1. The June 10th 2008 Veazie Town Council was called to order at 6:30PM.

ITEM 2. Consideration of minutes: Motion by Councilor Perkins, to accept the May 12, 2008 meeting minutes as written. Seconded: Councilor Hathaway, There was no discussion, Voted 4-1-0 in favor.  Councilor King abstained due to his absence.   

ITEM 3. Consideration of the Agenda
There were no additions to the agenda.

ITEM 4a.        Manager’s Review        
Motion by: Councilor Perkins to move into executive session for the Manager’s review as allowed under 1 M.R.S.A. §405 (6)(A). Seconded: Councilor Hathaway.  There was no discussion. Voted 5-0 in favor.

Motion by: Councilor King to move out of executive session.  Seconded: Councilor Hathaway. There was no discussion. Voted 5-0 in favor.

Motion by: Councilor Perkins to increase the Manager’s annual wage by an additional 2%.  Seconded: Councilor King. It was discussed that the Manager had done a fine job in the past year. Voted 5-0 in favor.  

ITEM 5. Comments from the public
There were no comments from the public.

ITEM 6. Manager’s Report:
The Manager gave the Town Council a draft of the Tax Bidders Prospectus 2008 with the Town Attorney’s comments. It was noted that the prospectus will be discussed at the next Town Council meeting on June 23rd 2008.
                
ITEM 7. Request for information and comments by Council:
Chairman Friedman requested that bonding be a scheduled item of discussion for the next Council meeting.

ITEM 8. Warrants: Town Warrant 25, Town Payroll Warrant 25, School Warrant 25, and School Payroll Warrant 25, were circulated and signed.

ITEM 9. Adjournment: Motion: Councilor Perkins to adjourn. Seconded: Councilor Hathaway, there was no further discussion.  Voted 5-0. Meeting adjourned.
