MINUTES
REGULAR MEETING OF THE
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT FUND
June 17, 2013
A REGULAR MEETING of the Board of Trustees of the City Employees Retirement Fund was held on Monday, June 17, 2013, in the City Hall Auditorium.
Those in attendance included Mayor Ryan Bingham, Corporation Counsel Raymond Rigat, Members of the Board of Trustees of the City Employees' Retirement Fund Gregg Cogswell, Paul Samele, Elinor Carbone, Gerald Zordan, Marie Soliani, Drake Waldron, Nancy Michna, Mark Kugler, Raymond Drew and John Schnyer. Members Aldo Alduini and Gail Sartori were absent.
Mayor Bingham called the meeting to order at 6:31p.m.
MINUTES
On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Cogswell, the Board voted unanimously to accept the minutes of the Regular Meeting held jointly with the Board of Trustees of the Police and Firemen's Pension Fund on December 3, 2012.
On a motion by Councilor Carbone, seconded by Councilor Samele, the Board voted unanimously to accept the minutes of the Regular Meeting held jointly with the Board of Trustees of the Police and Firemen's Pension Fund on February 6, 2013. Councilor Cogswell abstained.
PENSION COMPUTATION: P. Widmer
On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Carbone, the Board voted unanimously to accept the pension computation for Philip Widmer, Custodian for the Torrington Board of Education, who completed 12 years of service and resigned on April 8, 1987. The pension will be effective on May 8, 2013, his 65th birthday.
PENSION COMPUTATION: G. Calabrese
On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Carbone, the Board voted unanimously to accept the pension computation for Giovanni Calabrese, Custodian for the Torrington Board of Education, effective June 15, 2013, after completing 22.53 years of service.
BUSINESS
On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Zordan, the Board voted unanimously to consider business from the Board of Trustees. No business was presented.
ADJOURNMENT
On a motion by Councilor Carbone, seconded by Councilor Waldron, the Board voted unanimously to adjourn at 6:33 p.m.
