REGULAR MEETING OF THE
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT FUND
April 2, 2012
A REGULAR MEETING of the Board of Trustees of the City Employees Retirement Fund was held on Monday, April 2, 2012, in the City Hall Auditorium.
Those in attendance included Mayor Ryan J. Bingham, Corporation Counsel Ernestine Yuille Weaver, City Treasurer Arthur Mattiello, members of the Board of Trustees of the City Employees Retirement Fund Gregg Cogswell, Paul Samele, Drake Waldron, Marie Soliani, Elinor Carbone, Gerald Zordan, Nancy Michna, Gail Sartori, Ray Drew and Delisse Locher.
Members John Schnyer and Angelo Alduini were absent.
Mayor Bingham called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
MINUTES
On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Carbone, the Board voted unanimously to accept the minutes of the regular meeting held jointly with the Board of Trustees of the Police and Firemen's Pension Fund on February 1, 2012.
On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Carbone, the Board voted unanimously to accept the minutes of the regular meeting held February 1, 2012.
AMENDED PENSION COMPUTATION: D. PRAHM
On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Soliani, the Board voted unanimously to accept the amended pension computation for David Prahm, Custodian for the City of Torrington Board of Education, effective January 7, 2012, after completing 27 years of service, including 3.75 years of military buy-back time.
WITHDRAWAL OF FUNDS: K. FLUGRAD
On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Cogswell, the Board voted unanimously to approve the withdrawal of retirement funds plus interest through April 6, 2012 for the widow of Kenneth Flugrad, Senior Plant Operator for the City of Torrington Water Pollution Control in the amount of $47,008.02. Mrs. Michna noted that the computation should be corrected to say that Mr. Flugrad died on February 2nd, not February 5th.
PENSION COMPUTATION: P. HEADY
On a motion by Councilor Carbone, seconded by Councilor Waldron, the Board voted unanimously to accept the pension computation for Paul Heady, Custodian for the City of Torrington Board of Education, effective March 6, 2012, after completing 32.16 years of service.
BUSINESS
On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Cogswell, the Board voted unanimously to consider business from the Board of Trustees. No business was presented.
ADJOURNMENT
On a motion by Councilor Carbone, seconded by Councilor Samele, the Board voted unanimously to adjourn at 6:54 p.m.
