MINUTES
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT FUND
AUGUST 16, 2010
A REGULAR MEETING of the Board of Trustees of the City Employees Retirement Fund was held on Monday, August 16, 2010, in the City Hall Auditorium.
Those in attendance included Mayor Ryan J. Bingham, Corporation Counsel Ernestine Yuille Weaver, Treasurer Arthur Mattiello, members of the Board of Trustees of the City Employees Retirement Fund Elinor Carbone, Drake Waldron, Paul Samele, Gerald Zordan, Delisse Locher, Nancy Michna, David Kissko, David Prahm, and Comptroller Alice Proulx.
Mayor Bingham called the meeting to order at 6:32 p.m.
MINUTES
On a motion by Councilor Zordan, seconded by Councilor Carbone, the Board voted unanimously to accept the minutes of the special meeting held jointly with the Board of Trustees of the Police & Firemen’s Pension Fund on August 2, 2010. Councilor Waldron abstained.
On a motion by Councilor Carbone, seconded by Councilor Zordan, the Board voted unanimously to accept the minutes of the regular meeting held August 2, 2010. Councilors Samele and Waldron abstained.
ACTUARIAL SERVICES
On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Samele, the Board voted unanimously to accept the recommendation of the committee formed from members of the Finance Department to award the Actuarial Services to EFI Actuaries, of Media, PA for the next three (3) fiscal years in the contracted amount of $16,704/$2,500/$17,750 which includes three (3) meetings per year for the valuation years and two (2) meetings in the non-valuation year, pending approval from the City Council.
REMOVE CONTRIBUTIONS: George J. Michna
With no discussion, Councilor Waldron made a motion, seconded by Councilor Carbone, to approve Mr. George J. Michna, Jr.’s request to remove all his contributions to the pension fund up to $33,098.02. The motion was unanimously approved.
BUSINESS
On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Zordan, the Board voted unanimously to consider business from the Board of Trustees.
ADJOURNMENT
On a motion by Councilor Carbone, seconded by Councilor Waldron, the Board voted unanimously to adjourn at 6:34 p.m.
