MINUTES
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT FUND
APRIL 20, 2009

A REGULAR MEETING of the Board of Trustees of the City Employees Retirement Fund was held on Monday, April 20, 2009, in the Main Room of the Senior Center.

Present were Mayor Ryan J. Bingham, Corporation Counsel Ernestine Yuille Weaver, Administrative Assistant to the Mayor Stephen Nocera, members of the Board of Trustees of the City Employees Retirement Fund Rick Dalla Valle, Michael Colangelo, Elinor Carbone, Thomas Jerram, Marie Soliani, Drake Waldron, Richard Friday, Delisse Locher, Nancy Michna, and Raymond Drew.  

Mayor Bingham called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.

MINUTES #18
On a motion by Councilor Jerram, seconded by Councilor Waldron, the board voted unanimously to accept the minutes of the regular meeting held February 2, 2009. Councilor Colangelo abstained.

RETIREMENT: RAYMOND E. CARPENTER #27
On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Jerram, the board voted unanimously to accept the letter of retirement from Raymond E.                          Carpenter, Director of Operations Parking Authority, effective February 2, 2009, after having completed 34 years of service with the City of Torrington.

PENSION COMPUTATION: RAYMOND E. CARPENTER #37
On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Colangelo, the board voted unanimously to accept the pension computation for Raymond E. Carpenter.

RETIREMENT: MARYANN J. DELAY #42
On a motion by Councilor Dalla Valle, seconded by Councilor Waldron, the board voted unanimously to accept the letter of retirement from Maryann                          J. Delay, Senior Account Clerk, effective April 7, 2009, after having completed 24 years of service with the City of Torrington.

PENSION COMPUTATION: MARYANN J. DELAY #49
On a motion by Councilor Dalla Valle, seconded by Councilor Colangelo, the board voted unanimously to accept the pension computation for Maryann J. Delay.

RETIREMENT: JOLINE LEBLANC #54
On a motion by Councilor Soliani, seconded by Councilor Waldron, the board  voted unanimously to accept the letter of retirement from Joline Leblanc,                    Assistant City Clerk, effective April 3, 2009, after having completed 18 years of service with the City of Torrington.

PENSION COMPUTATION: JOLINE LEBLANC #59
On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Colangelo, the board voted unanimously to accept the pension computation for Joline Leblanc.

BUS: BD OF TRUSTEES #066
On a motion by Councilor Dalla Valle, seconded by Councilor Waldron, the board voted unanimously to consider business presented by the Board of Trustees of the City Employees Retirement Fund. No business was presented.

ADJOURNMENT #074
On a motion by Councilor Jerram, seconded by Councilor Waldron, the board voted unanimously to adjourn at 6:33 p.m.
