                           MINUTES
                 BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY EMPLOYEES’ RETIREMENT FUND
                 NOVEMBER 3, 2008

                          A   REGULAR   MEETING of the Board of Trustees of the City Employees’        Retirement Fund was held on Monday, November 3, 2008, in the Council Chambers.

Present were Mayor Ryan J. Bingham,  members of the Board of Trustees of the City Employees’ Retirement Fund Rick E. Dalla Valle, Michael Colangelo (arrived at 6:35 p.m.), Elinor Carbone, Thomas Jerram, Marie P. Soliani, and Drake Waldron, Richard J. Friday, Joseph Manes, John Schnyer, Mark Kugler, Delisse Locher, and Nancy Michna.  Members who were absent included Raymond Drew, Gail Gillette, and David Prahm.

Mayor Bingham called the meeting to order at 6:33 p.m.

On a motion by Councilor Jerram, seconded by Councilor Carbone, the board voted unanimously to accept the minutes of the regular meeting held 08/18/08.

LETTER OF RETIREMENT: ANTHONY LUCIA #020
On a motion by Councilor Soliani, seconded by Councilor Jerram, the board voted unanimously to accept the letter of retirement from Anthony Lucia, Caretaker for the City of Torrington Parks & Recreation Department after having completed 21 years of service and two years of military buy-in service for a total of 23 years.

PENSION COMPUTATION: ANTHONY LUCIA #030
On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Dalla Valle, the board voted unanimously to accept the pension computation for Anthony Lucia.

BUS BD OF TRUSTEES #035
On a motion by Councilor Jerram, seconded by Councilor Carbone, the board voted unanimously to consider business presented by the Board of Trustees of the City Employees’ Retirement Fund.  There was no business.

Councilor Colangelo arrived at 6:35 p.m.

On behalf of the board, Councilor Soliani thanked Mr. Lucia for his many years of service to the City of Torrington.  The board requested that a letter of appreciation be sent to Mr. Lucia.

ADJOURNMENT #045
On a motion by Councilor Carbone, seconded by Mr. Friday, the board voted unanimously to adjourn at 6:36 p.m.
