MINUTES
REGULAR MEETING OF THE
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE POLICE AND FIREMEN'S PENSION FUND
August 1, 2012
A Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Police and Firemen's Pension Fund was held on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 in the City Hall Auditorium.

Those in attendance included Mayor Ryan J. Bingham, Corporation Counsel Ernestine Yuille Weaver, City Treasurer Arthur Mattiello, Members of the Board of Trustees of the Police & Firemen Pension Fund Angelo LaMonica, Darlene Battle, James Potter, Douglas Benedetto, Police Lt. Michael Emanuel, Police Officer Oscar Segui, and Fire Fighter Edward Delisle.
Members Christopher Cook, Richard Zaharek and Fire Lt. Michael Soliani were absent.  

Mayor Ryan Bingham opened the meeting at 6:45 p.m.

MINUTES
On a motion by Commissioner Benedetto, seconded by Commissioner Potter, the Board voted unanimously to accept the minutes of the regular meeting held July 10, 2012.
ACCEPT RETIREMENT COMPUTATION: J. Newkirk
On a motion by Commissioner Potter, seconded by Commissioner Benedetto, the Board voted unanimously to accept the pension computation for John Newkirk, Sergeant for the City of Torrington Police Department, effective July 1, 2012, after having completed 29 years of service.

ACCEPT RETIREMENT COMPUTATION:  T. Schroeder
On a motion by Commissioner Potter, seconded by Commissioner Benedetto, the Board voted unanimously to accept the pension computation for Terry Schroeder, Firefighter for the City of Torrington Fire Department, effective July 1, 2012, after having completed 28 years of service.

ACCEPT RETIREMENT COMPUTATION:  J. Fioretti
On a motion by Commissioner Benedetto, seconded by Commissioner Potter, the Board voted unanimously to accept the pension computation for Joseph Fioretti, Deputy Fire Marshal for the City of Torrington Fire Department, effective June 24, 2012, after having completed 12 years of service.

ACCEPT RETIREMENT COMPUTATION:  J. Field
On a motion by Commissioner Benedetto, seconded by Commissioner Potter, the Board voted unanimously to accept the pension computation for John Field, Fire Chief for the City of Torrington Fire Department, effective July 8, 2012, after having completed 26.5 years of service.

BUSINESS
On a motion by Commissioner Potter, seconded by Commissioner Battle, the Board voted unanimously to consider business from Board of Trustees. No business was presented.

ADJOURNMENT
On a motion by Commissioner Benedetto, seconded by Commissioner LaMonica, the Board voted unanimously to adjourn at 6:48 pm.
