MINUTES                                                                                                                       

REGULAR MEETING OF THE
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE POLICE & FIREMEN PENSION FUND
FEBRUARY 1, 2012                                                                                                  

A REGULAR MEETING of the Board of Trustees of the Police & Firemen Pension Fund was held on Wednesday, February 1, 2012, in the City Hall Auditorium.

Those in attendance included Mayor Ryan J. Bingham, Corporation Counsel Ernestine Yuille Weaver, City Treasurer Arthur Mattiello, members of the Board of Trustees of the Police & Firemen Pension Fund James Potter, Angelo LaMonica, Darlene Battle, Christopher Cook, Richard Zaharek, Douglas Benedetto, Fire Lt. Kevin Hayes and Fire Fighter Edward Delisle.  
Anthony Tranghese of Fiduciary Investment Advisors, LLC was also present.
Police Lt. Michael Emanuel was absent.
Mayor Bingham called the meeting to order at 6:56 p.m.  

MINUTES
On a motion by Commissioner Benedetto, seconded by Commissioner Potter, the Board voted unanimously to accept the minutes of the regular meeting held jointly with the Board of Trustees of the City Employees' Retirement Fund on August 15, 2011. Commissioner Cook abstained.

MINUTES
On a motion by Commissioner Potter, seconded by Commissioner Benedetto, the Board voted unanimously to accept the minutes of the regular meeting held September 7, 2011.  

MINUTES
On a motion by Commissioner Potter, seconded by Commissioner Benedetto, the Board voted unanimously to accept the minutes of the regular meeting held jointly with the Board of Trustees of the City Employees' Retirement Fund on November 14, 2011.  

PENSION COMPUTATION: OFFICER ROBERT SHOPEY
On a motion by Commissioner Benedetto, seconded by Commissioner Potter, the Board voted unanimously to accept the pension computation for Robert Shopey, Police Officer for the City of Torrington Police Department, effective January 12, 2012, after completing 25 years of service.

PENSION COMPUTATION: DETECTIVE CORINNE SILANO
On a motion by Commissioner Potter, seconded by Commissioner Cook, the Board voted unanimously to accept the pension computation for Corinne Silano, Police Detective for the City of Torrington Police Department, effective January 9, 2012, after completing 27 years of service.

BUSINESS
On a motion by Commissioner Potter, seconded by Commissioner Benedetto, the Board voted unanimously to consider business from the Board of Trustees.  No business was presented.

ADJOURNMENT
On a motion by Commissioner Potter, seconded by Firefighter Delisle, the Boards voted unanimously to adjourn at 6:57 p.m.
