REGULAR MEETING
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE POLICE & FIREMEN PENSION FUND
FEBRUARY 7, 2011

A REGULAR MEETING of the Board of Trustees of the Police & Firemen Pension Fund was held on Monday, February 7, 2011, in the City Hall Auditorium.

Those in attendance included Mayor Ryan J. Bingham, Treasurer Arthur Mattiello, members of the Board of Trustees of the Police & Firemen Pension Fund James Potter, Christopher Cook, Angelo LaMonica, Douglas Benedetto, Richard Zaharek, Darlene Battle, and Lt. Kevin Hayes.  Police Lieutenant Michael Emanuel, Officer Shopey and Fire Fighter Edward Delisle were absent.
Mayor Bingham called the meeting to order at 7:21 p.m.  
 
MINUTES
On a motion by Commissioner Potter, seconded by Commissioner Cook, the Board voted unanimously to accept the minutes of the regular meeting held August 11, 2010.

On a motion by Commissioner Potter, seconded by Commissioner Benedetto, the Board voted unanimously to accept the minutes of the special meeting held jointly with the Board of Trustees of the City Employees Retirement Fund on November 15, 2010.

On a motion by Commissioner Cook, seconded by Commissioner Benedetto, the Board voted unanimously to accept the minutes of the special meeting held November 22, 2010.

PENSION COMPUTATION: J. French
On a motion by Commissioner Potter, seconded by Commissioner Zaharek, the Board voted unanimously to accept the pension computation for Jeffrey French, Firefighter for the City of Torrington Fire Department, effective January 2, 2011, after completing 15 years of service with the City of Torrington.

PENSION COMPUTATION: E. Pollock
On a motion by Commissioner Potter, seconded by Commissioner Benedetto, the Board voted unanimously to accept the pension computation for Edwin Pollock, Firefighter for the City of Torrington Fire Department, effective January 6, 2011, after completing 27 years of service with the City of Torrington.

PENSION COMPUTATION: D. Kibbe
On a motion by Commissioner Potter, seconded by Commissioner Zaharek, the Board voted unanimously to accept the pension computation for Dan Kibbe, Fire Fighter for the City of Torrington Fire Department, effective January 10, 2011, after completing 31 years of service with the City of Torrington.

BUSINESS
On a motion by Commissioner Benedetto, seconded by Commissioner LaMonica the Board voted unanimously to consider business from the Board of Trustees.  

Lt. Hayes asked when the actuary report would be presented.  Mr. Mattiello said the report is ready. Mayor Bingham said he would set it up, with FIA present at the same time.

Commissioner Potter thanked the three retirees for their years of service.  Mayor Bingham said he would send them a letter.

ADJOURNMENT
On a motion by Commissioner Benedetto, seconded by Councilor Zaharek, the Boards voted unanimously to adjourn at 7:25 p.m.
