MINUTES PARKING TICKET APPEALS COMMITTEE JUNE 11, 2009

Acting Commissioner Stephen Jacobson heard the following parking ticket appeals on Thursday, June 11, 2009, and made the following recommendations:

Approve - Regular parking lot that is used was filled with mud. Did not want cars trapped in mud. Allow leniency this one time, but only after she pays outstanding ticket from 12/15/07.

Approve – Pictures provided show that there were no lines indicating spaces for meters and that sufficient space for an SUV existed in between the two meters. City should have lines painted or post sign to indicate that there is no space between the two parking meters

Approve *conditional – Claims that she was given permission by landlord to park in the spot because it was no longer a handicapped spot and sign was in the process of being removed. Claims that shortly after she received the ticket the handicapped sign was removed. If the spot is in fact no longer a handicapped spot then her appeal should be approved
