Interested in having Torrington be 1 of 10 communities Campaign.  Helping children grow from B-5 – early intervention and connecting to services
1.Help Line 1-800-505-7000 Bilingual Spanish/English Child Dev Info Line – United Way 211 single point of contact for B-3
2. Safety Net for Families for families not able to access regular screenings – Ages Stages Questionnaire (ASQ) Screening in home 21 questionnaires (sub-set is used) Continue to send even if they don’t send back
3. Outreach – Pediatric & Family Practices, ECE settings, teachers & ASQ training full day 6 Hour ASQ and ASQ SE. A request to reach out to adoption pieces
4. Help Me Grow Network – create links to communities between 11-14 communities – OEC has a calendar division of family support services - ct children’s trust fund is another way to access calendar.  Speaker & breakfast and chance to network
Help Me Grow Campaign – Help prepare children for school to identify earlier – 70-80% children are missed if a formal tool is not used.  1,500 people received the message in previous campaign. Found 1,000 families that were not receiving screenings elsewhere. Events – Spring to Fall ($5,000 Grant):
1. Community cafes (3) in 1 Month Hosted by Parents for Parents - Full Day Training –Families a strategy of Strengthening Families – Guiding Meaningful Questions
2. ASQ Sign Up (2) in 1 Month Providers and Parents
3. ASQ Screenings (1) in 1 Month  - By appointment –signed a release so the children can play while parents explore center
B-3 Moving to OEC in July, 2015
PAT - Maternal Infant Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) Serving 45 families with 5 on the wait list, put benchmarks on next agenda.  Birth spacing, Education and work goals were areas of improvement.  Parents Place – Every Friday 11:30-12:30 TAHD 350 Main street 0-6 months old.

TECC Torrington is in a Federal Preschool Grant – Dec. 10th Awards Announced, Meeting to Discuss Applying for Smart Start – Friday, Nov. 21st 11:30-12:30
TPS – Behavioral Pre-K - 9 students
Project Interact – Has openings – using DECA for behavior
Torrington FRC – Programs are going well
Wellmore – Inventory of Collaborative Groups – Spanish Speaking Support Group
NAMI Maureen - Lobbyist proposed legislation -Put advocacy on the next agenda
Future Foundations – 0-3 very low
