Torrington Early Childhood Collaborative (TECC) Steering Committee Meeting Minutes
Meeting held on March 10, 2014.
Called to Order at 9:15am by Mary Cecchinato, TECC Co-Chair. Minutes from our last meeting were reviewed and approved as printed.
In Attendance: Michelle Anderson/Education Connection& Family Resource Center, Elaine Hanscom/TECC, Mary Cecchinato/Torrington Child Care Center, Donna Farr/Head Start, Donna Labbe/TECC & Torrington Public Schools (TPS), Cindy Guerreri/ William Caspar Graustein Memorial Foundation (WCGMF), Cheryl Kloczko/TPS, Karla Woodworth/TECC
Items Discussed:
Member Directories- Additions needed based on input from workgroup chairs, Donna Labbe to work on this for April.
Coordinator Report- Consolidated Plan- At a Glance Document presented to group, shows common strategies among workgroups. This data is currently being entered into Results Scorecard software, online example shown to group. WCGMF Interim Report- Our report was submitted in January. New application for funds will be due in April. Budget- Approved budget report as printed. Looking at community needs for our next funding period to add items as needed. Donna Labbe will be participating in webinar in April regarding the process for applying for 501(c)3 non-profit status.
Parent Engagement- Karla Woodworth reported on new community messengers program. Class is underway, with possible follow up parent leadership classes pending grants available.
Next Steering Committee meeting scheduled for 4-21-14. Will conduct self-assessment and discuss collective impact/theory of change.
