Minutes for February 22nd Arts & Culture Meeting

Saturday in the Park Update - Rachel Kelly supplied information about vendors beginning to sign-up for the show. A Facebook ad will be used to promote event, one already done that was very successful. Came to the attention that health department will need to be notified that we plan on having food vendors.
Community Engagement Subcommittee Update - New logo competition to find one that reflects the arts and culture commission plan will continue. Sub Committee will work all the details on rules and regulation.
City Space Update - Working on figuring out security details. They are currently working on designing a vetting process for the artists.
City Hall Photo Project Update - a new photo of Franklin Street circa 1913 has been selected to hang at the end of the southern corridor of the second floor of city hall. Bill Haygood is currently paying for this project until committee can raise the money to pay him back
New Business
- Invite Launchpad artists to be a part of the subcommittee for community engagement
- Jacque offered a proposal for ACT to receive a portion of the proceeds from a CD he’s releasing through ReverbNation
- Committee will consign holiday ornaments to First Act Bakery
