MINUTES                                                                                                                                                               
BOARD OF FINANCE
April 20, 2016

A REGULAR MEETING of the Board of Finance was held in the City Hall Auditorium on Wednesday, April 20, 2016.

Present were Mayor Elinor Carbone and Board of Finance members Chris Diorio, Laurene Pesce, Mark Bushka, and Frank Rubino. Members Joshua Ferreira and Christopher Anderson were absent.
Mayor Carbone called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.  

MINUTES
On a motion by Mr. Diorio, seconded by Mr. Rubino, the Board voted unanimously to accept the minutes of the Regular Meeting held on March 15, 2016.

OPEN TO PUBLIC
On a motion by Mr. Rubino, seconded by Mr. Diorio, the Board voted unanimously to open the meeting to the public.  There was no one present who wished to speak.  

FY15/16 BUDGET AMENDMENTS/TRANSFERS
On a motion by Mrs. Pesce, seconded by Mr. Bushka, the Board voted unanimously to authorize the Comptroller to complete the FY2015/2016 budget amendments/transfers listed in the memo dated April 6, 2016, having received City Council approval on April 18, 2016.

TABLED:  BRD. OF EDUC.FUNDING REQUEST
On a motion by Mr. Diorio, seconded by Mr. Rubino, the Board voted unanimously to table consideration of a Board of Education funding request as no request was presented at this time.

BUSINESS: Mayor and Board Members
On a motion by Mr. Rubino, seconded by Mr. Diorio, the Board voted unanimously to consider business presented by the Mayor and members of the Board of Finance.  

Mr. Bushka requested an estimation of the increase or decrease in the fund balance, prior to the Board of Finance’s setting of the Mill Rate.


Mayor Carbone noted that City Council requested a monthly report from the Economic Development Director, which she will share with the Board of Finance.

ADJOURNMENT
On a motion by Mr. Diorio, seconded by Mrs. Pesce, the Board voted unanimously to adjourn at 5:08 p.m.
