SPECIAL MEETING
BOARD OF FINANCE
JANUARY 9, 2007
A SPECIAL MEETING of the Board of Finance was held on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 in the Mayor’s Office.
Those in attendance included Mayor Ryan J. Bingham, Board of Finance members Daniel Farley, Bruce Cornish, Mark Bushka, James Nichol, and James Zeller, Comptroller Alice Proulx, Fleet Manager Michael Michaud, Police Chief Robert Milano, and Purchasing Agent Charlene Antonelli. Absent was Board of Finance member Joseph Nader.
Mayor Bingham called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
AUTHORIZE FUNDS FOR REPLACEMENT OF POLICE CRUISER
On a motion by Mr. Cornish, seconded by Mr. Zeller, the Board voted unanimously to accept the Council’s request to authorize “Up To” $26,500.00 from Vehicle Replacement Contingency for the replacement of a police cruiser.
Fleet Manager Mike Michaud informed the board that the city will get a check for $8,725.00 from the insurance company. The city will also keep the vehicle for salvage purposes, which has a value of $500.00.
Comptroller, Alice Proulx, stated that funds from the Vehicle Replacement Contingency Account would be used to purchase the vehicle in full and the amount received from the insurance company would be returned to the Vehicle Replacement Contingency Account.
According to Purchasing Agent Charlene Antonelli, a second quote was received for $1,500.00 less than the first, and a third quote with further savings is possible. Any further savings will also be returned to the Vehicle Replacement Contingency Account.
ADJOURNMENT
On a motion by Mr. Cornish, seconded by Mr. Zeller, the board voted unanimously to adjourn at 5:33 p.m.
