SPECIAL JOINT MEETING
CITY COUNCIL & WPC AUTHORITY & THE BOARD OF FINANCE
February 10, 2015
A SPECIAL JOINT MEETING was held by the City Council & WPC Authority and the Board of Finance in the City Hall Auditorium on Tuesday, February 10, 2015.
Those in attendance included Mayor Elinor Carbone, City Councilors Paul Cavagnero, Drake Waldron, Christopher Anderson and Gregg Cogswell and Board of Finance Members Frank Rubino, Laurene Pesce, Mark Bushka and Joshua Ferreira. Atty. Charles Roraback and City Treasurer Arthur Mattiello was also present. City Councilors Anne Ruwet and Paul Samele and Board of Finance Members Tom Scoville and Bill Lamoin were absent.
Mayor Carbone called the meeting to order at 6:55 p.m. beginning with the Pledge of Allegiance.
EXECUTIVE SESSION: Tax Collector RFP
On an amended motion by Councilor Anderson, seconded as amended by Councilor Cogswell, both Boards voted unanimously to enter Executive Session at 6:58 p.m. inviting Atty. Charles Roraback and City Treasurer Arthur Mattiello, under CGS ยง 1-200 (6) F and 1-210 (b) 24.
OPEN SESSION
On a motion by Councilor Anderson, seconded by Mr. Bushka, both Boards voted unanimously to enter Open Session at 8:49 p.m.
REJECT TAX COLLECTION BIDS
On a motion by Councilor Cogswell, seconded by Mr. Rubino, both Boards voted unanimously to reject all bids for the office of Tax Collector.
ADJOURNMENT
On a motion by Councilor Anderson, seconded by Councilor Cogswell, the Council voted unanimously to adjourn at 8:53 p.m.
