SPECIAL MEETING                                                                 
CITY COUNCIL & WPC AUTHORITY  
March 3, 2014  

A   SPECIAL MEETING was held by the City Council & WPC Authority in the Auditorium on Monday, March 3, 2014.

Those in attendance included Mayor Elinor Carbone, Corporation Counsel Raymond Rigat and City Councilors Anne Ruwet, Gregg Cogswell, Drake Waldron, Paul Samele, Paul Cavagnero and Christopher Anderson.  Comptroller Alice Proulx was also present.

Mayor Carbone called the meeting to order at 7:04 p.m.

TENTATIVELY APPROVE BUDGETS
Assessor
On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Cogswell, the Council voted unanimously to tentatively approve the Assessor budget of $378,576.

Building
On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Cogswell, the Council voted unanimously to tentatively approve the Building Department budget of $344,005.

City Clerk
On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Cogswell, the Council voted unanimously to tentatively approve the City Clerk budget of $802,886.

Tabled:  Comptroller
On a motion by Councilor Cogswell, seconded by Councilor Samele, the Council voted unanimously to table the tentative approval of the Comptroller budget.

Corporation Counsel
On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Samele, the Council voted unanimously to
tentatively approve the Corporation Counsel budget of $193,742.

Election & Registrar of Voters
On a motion by Councilor Anderson, seconded by Councilor Waldron, the Council voted unanimously to tentatively approve the Election & Registrar of Voters budget of $165,939.

Personnel
On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Anderson, the Council voted unanimously to tentatively approve the Personnel budget of $229,139.

Planning & Zoning
On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Cogswell, the Council voted unanimously to
tentatively approve the Planning & Zoning budget of $228,273.

Purchasing
On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Anderson, the Council voted unanimously to
tentatively approve the Purchasing budget of $112,237.

Senior Center
On a motion by Councilor Cogswell, seconded by Councilor Ruwet, the Council voted unanimously to tentatively approve the Senior Center budget of $322,740.

Tabled:  Information Technology
On a motion by Councilor Ruwet, seconded by Councilor Waldron, the Council voted unanimously to table the tentative approval of the Information Technology budget.

ADJOURNMENT
On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Ruwet, the Council voted unanimously
to adjourn at 7:19 p.m.
