EMERGENCY TELEPHONIC MEETING
CITY COUNCIL & WPC AUTHORITY
January 23, 2014
A EMERGENCY TELEPHONIC MEETING was held by the City Council & WPC Authority in the Mayor's Office on Thursday, January 23, 2014.
Those in attendance included Mayor Elinor Carbone and Corporation Counsel Administrative Assistant Elaine Fabiaschi. City Councilors Paul Cavagnero, Gregg Cogswell, Christopher Anderson and Paul Samele participated via telephone. City Councilors Anne Ruwet and Drake Waldron did not participate.
Mayor Carbone called the meeting to order at 6:34 p.m.
SMALL CITIES RECOMMENDATION
Mayor Carbone explained that a single-family homeowner is in need of a $6,000 Small Cities Loan to repair their broken furnace, further exacerbated by their use of propane construction heaters that are both a fire hazard and a risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. She said the Small Cities subcommittee met and unanimously recommended Council approval of this loan.
On a motion by Councilor Samele, seconded by Councilor Cavagnero, the Council voted unanimously
to accept the recommendation of the Small Cities subcommittee regarding the property described in Mrs. Fabiaschi's letter dated January 23, 2014.
ADJOURNMENT
On a motion by Councilor Samele, seconded by Councilor Cavagnero, the Council voted unanimously
to adjourn at 6:39 p.m.
