SPECIAL TELEPHONIC MEETING
CITY COUNCIL & WPC AUTHORITY
December 19, 2013
A SPECIAL TELEPHONIC MEETING was held by the City Council & WPC Authority in the Mayor's Office on Thursday, December 19, 2013.
Those in attendance included Mayor Elinor Carbone and Mayoral Aid Timothy Waldron. City Councilors Paul Cavagnero, Gregg Cogswell, Anne Ruwet and Drake Waldron participated via telephone. City Councilors Paul Samele and Christopher Anderson were absent.
Mayor Carbone called the meeting to order at 9:44 a.m.
THS Athletic Fields Imprv. - Design Consultant
On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Ruwet, the Council voted unanimously
to accept the Purchasing Agent's and 'Turf Committee's' recommendation to award the bid for Design Consultant to Gale Associates, Inc. of Glastonbury, CT in the amount of $65,560.00 and to authorize the Mayor to act on behalf of the City for the execution and administration of this contract.
Mr. Timothy Waldron explained that the 'Turf Committee' unanimously agreed that this was the best choice of the five companies interviewed. He said they received glowing recommendations and have offered a reasonable price.
ADJOURNMENT
On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Ruwet, the Council voted unanimously
to adjourn at 9:46 p.m.
