SPECIAL & TELEPHONIC MEETING
CITY COUNCIL & WPC AUTHORITY
November 21, 2013
A SPECIAL & TELEPHONIC MEETING was held by the City Council & WPC Authority in the Office of the Mayor on Thursday, November 21, 2013.
Those in attendance included Acting Mayor Elinor Carbone and City Councilor Marie Soliani. City Councilors Gregg Cogswell, Paul Samele and Drake Waldron participated via telephone. Mayor Gerald Zordan and City Councilor Wendy Traub were absent.
Acting Mayor Carbone called the meeting to order at 3:05 p.m.
THS ATHLETIC FIELDS LAND SURVEY BID
On a motion by Councilor Soliani, seconded by Councilor Waldron, the Council voted unanimously to accept the recommendation of both the Turf Committee and the Purchasing Agent to award the bid for Land Survey for Athletic Field Improvements at Torrington High School to Hrica Assocs. of Litchfield, CT in the amount of $8750.00 and to authorize the Mayor to act on behalf of the City regarding the execution of the contract and its administration.
Councilor Waldron asked how many bids were received. Acting Mayor Carbone replied that six were received and Hrica Associates had the lowest bid with the least number of days to complete the work.
ADJOURNMENT
On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Samele, the Council voted unanimously
to adjourn at 3:07 p.m.
