SPECIAL AND TELEPHONIC MEETING
CITY COUNCIL & WPC AUTHORITY
June 10, 2013
A SPECIAL AND TELEPHONIC MEETING was held by the City Council & WPC Authority in the Mayor's Office on Monday, June 10, 2013.
Those in attendance included Mayor Ryan Bingham, Corporation Counsel Raymond Rigat, City Councilors Gerald Zordan, Elinor Carbone, Gregg Cogswell and Marie Soliani. City Councilors Drake Waldron and Paul Samele participated via telephone.
Mayor Bingham called the meeting to order at 11:30 a.m.
GATEWAYS PROJECT #143-182
Mayor Bingham explained that this meeting was to straighten out similar-looking documents, and that he hopes to move forward with the Gateways and Main Street projects right away.
RESCIND VOTE FROM 6/4/2013
On a motion by Councilor Zordan, seconded by Councilor Waldron, the Council voted unanimously to rescind a vote taken at the Regular Meeting on June 4, 2013 adopting a resolution authorizing the Mayor to sign the subject Concurrence to work within the State right of way on State Road 800 (Main Street) in the City of Torrington, and an Authorization Letter for this project.
AUTHORIZATION LETTER
On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Cogswell, the Council voted unanimously to adopt a resolution authorizing the Mayor to sign an Authorization Letter for Project #143-182, to work within the State right of way on Various State Roads in the City of Torrington.
MAIN ST. REALIGNMENT & STREETSCAPE IMPROVEMENTS – PHASE #1 #143-185
CONCURRENCE
On a motion by Councilor Zordan, seconded by Councilor Carbone, the Council voted to adopt a resolution authorizing the
Mayor to sign the subject Concurrence for the plan entitled "Main Street Realignment and Streetscape Improvements – Phase
1", Project #143-185, to work within the State right of way on State Road 800 (Main Street) in the City of Torrington.
AUTHORIZATION LETTER
On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Carbone, the Council voted to adopt a resolution authorizing the
Mayor to sign an Authorization Letter (PAL) for the plan entitled "Main Street Realignment and Streetscape Improvements – Phase 1", Project #143-185, to work within the State right of way on State Road 800 (Main Street) in the City of Torrington.
ADJOURNMENT
On a motion by Councilor Carbone, seconded by Councilor Waldron, the Council voted unanimously to adjourn at 11:32 a.m.
