SPECIAL TELEPHONIC MEETING
CITY COUNCIL & WPC AUTHORITY
SEPTEMBER 19, 2012
A SPECIAL TELEPHONIC MEETING was held by the City Council & WPC Authority in the Mayor's Office on Wednesday, September 19, 2012.
Present were Mayor Ryan Bingham and City Councilor Gerald Zordan. City Councilors Gregg Cogswell, Elinor Carbone, Paul Samele and Drake Waldron participated via telephone. City Councilor Marie Soliani was absent.
Mayor Bingham called the meeting to order at 11:30 a.m.
RESOLUTION: DEEP Contract
On a motion by Councilor Zordan, seconded by Councilor Cogswell, the Council voted unanimously to adopt the following resolution:
BE IT RESOLVED that it is in the best interest of the City of Torrington to enter into contracts with the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
In furtherance of this resolution, Ryan J. Bingham, holds the office of Mayor since December 17, 2009 and will hold the office till December 3, 2013, is duly authorized to enter into and sign said contracts on behalf of the City of Torrington. Ryan J. Bingham is further authorized to provide such additional information and execute such other documents as may be required by the state or federal government in connection with said contracts and to execute any amendments, rescissions and revisions thereto.
The City Clerk of Torrington is authorized to impress the seal of the City of Torrington on any such document, amendment, rescission or revision.
ADJOURNMENT
On a motion by Councilor Carbone, seconded by Councilor Samele, the Council voted unanimously to adjourn at 11:32 a.m.
