MINUTES -- SPECIAL MEETING
CITY COUNCIL & WPC AUTHORITY
April 23, 2012
A SPECIAL MEETING of the City Council & WPC Authority was held in the City Hall Auditorium on Monday, April 23, 2012. Those in attendance included Mayor Ryan Bingham, City Councilors Drake Waldron, Gerald Zordan, Gregg Cogswell, and Elinor Carbone. Councilors Marie Soliani and Paul Samele were absent.
Mayor Bingham called the meeting to order at 6:36 p.m.
HVAC SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT
Mayor Bingham acknowledged all the hard work done by Corporation Counsel, the secondary attorney, staff from O & G and the subcontractors who helped fix the air conditioning. He said the City will receive a substantial sum back in the settlement, although not the full amount.
On a motion by Councilor Carbone, seconded by Councilor Waldron, the Council voted unanimously to authorize the Mayor to execute a Settlement Agreement and Release settling the City's dispute with Friar Associates, Inc. and LMG Consulting Engineers, Inc. regarding HVAC issues.
ADJOURNMENT
On a motion by Councilor Carbone, seconded by Councilor Cogswell, the Council voted unanimously to adjourn at 6:38 p.m.
