Minutes of Special Telephonic City Council Meeting
Tuesday, February 14th 4:00pm
Mayor’s Office
Attendance: Elinor Carbone, Gerry Zordan, Ernestine Weaver. Drake Waldron, Gregg Cogswell, Marie Soliani by phone.
Meeting was called to order at 4:02 by acting Mayor Gerry Zordan. Economic Development Director Rose Ponte briefed the Council on the City Canvases initiative and reported t hat an RFP had been sent out to arts organizations in the area. She reported that there were two responses to the RFP, one from the Warner Theatre and one from Artwell. The City Canvases committee had made a recommendation to accept the proposal from the Warner Theatre.
Councilwoman Carbone made a motion to accept the recommendation to approve the Warner Theatre as the partnering Arts Organization, seconded by Councilman Cogswell. The council voted unanimously in approval.
Councilwoman Carbone made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Councilman Waldron. Acting Mayor Zordan adjourned the meeting at 4:17pm.
