CITY COUNCIL & WPC AUTHORITY
FEBRUARY 18, 2009
A SPECIAL MEETING of the City Council & WPC Authority was held on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 in the Council Chambers.
Those in attendance included Mayor Ryan J. Bingham, Administrative Assistant to the Mayor Stephen Nocera, City Councilors Michael Colangelo, Elinor Carbone, Thomas C. Jerram, and Marie P. Soliani. Also present were, Chairman Michael Clark, Ed Cook, Alan Zordan, and Isadore Temkin of the Municipal Renovations Committee.
Mayor Bingham called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m
MOVING CONTRACTOR EXPENDITURE #32
On a motion by Councilor Jerram, seconded by Councilor Colangelo, the Council voted unanimously to approve the Municipal Renovations Committee’s recommended expenditure of up to $40,272 for City Hall Moving Contractor, Nationwide Moving & Storage of Bloomfield, CT.
Councilor Jerram added that Nationwide was the low bidder, and their bid was clearly superior to other bids. He said a local bidder was 12% higher than the lowest bid, and their bid did not meet the requirements.
Chairman Clark thanked the council for coming out tonight.

On a motion by Councilor Jerram, seconded by Councilor Carbone, the council …voted unanimously to adjourn at 6:02 p.m.
