SPECIAL MEETING
CITY COUNCIL & WPC AUTHORITY
OCTOBER 27, 2008
A SPECIAL MEETING of the City Council & WPC Authority was held on Monday, October 27, 2008 in the Council Chambers.
Those in attendance included Acting Mayor Elinor Carbone, City Councilors Rick E. Dalla Valle, Michael Colangelo, Thomas C. Jerram, and Drake L. Waldron, Corp. Counsel Ernestine Yuille Weaver, Public Works Director Gerald Rollett, and WPC Administrator Raymond Drew. Councilor Marie P. Soliani was absent.
Acting Mayor Carbone called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m.
Public Works Director Gerald Rollett introduced John Braccio, Vice President and Anthony Vanna, Project Engineer from Wright-Pierce Engineering, and turned the meeting over to Raymond Drew, WPC Administrator.
WPC Administrator Raymond Drew gave the following presentation of Capital Projects: (For the entire presentation, please refer to tape #571.)
1. Fats, Oil and Grease Facility
2. East Drainage Basin I/I Rehabilitation Project
3. Toro Field Siphon Project
4. Felicity Lane Sewer Relocation Project
5. South Main Street Sewer Expansion
AMEND WATER POLLUTION CONTROL PLAN
On a motion by Councilor Dalla Valle, seconded by Councilor Jerram, the Council, acting as the Water Pollution Control Authority, voted unanimously to amend the Water Pollution Control Plan.
MAKE CORRECTIONS TO SEWER SERVICE AREA
On a motion by Councilor Dalla Valle, seconded by Councilor Waldron, the Council, acting as the Water Pollution Control Authority, voted unanimously to make corrections to the Sewer Service Area, City of Torrington Sewerage System, map dated March 7, 2005.
ADJOURNMENT
On a motion by Councilor Dalla Valle, seconded by Councilor Jerram, the Council, acting as the Water Pollution Control Authority, voted unanimously to adjourn at 7:25 p.m.
