SPECIAL JOINT MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COUNCILMEN PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION AND THE FUESSENICH PARK COMMITTEE
OCTOBER 6, 2008
A SPECIAL JOINT MEETING of the City Council, Parks and Recreation Commission and the Fuessenich Park Committee was held on Monday, October 6, 2008 in the Council Chambers at 7:45 p.m.
Those in attendance included Mayor Ryan J. Bingham, City Councilors Michael Colangelo, Elinor Carbone, Rick E. Dalla Valle, Thomas C. Jerram, Marie P. Soliani, and Drake L. Waldron; Parks and Recreation Commissioners Patricia Fairchild, Francis DuCotey, Daniel Lovallo, James Pescatore, Edmund (Duke) Wall; Fuessenich Park Committee members, Jack Fitzgerald and Mary Jane Gryniuk; Corp. Counsel Ernestine Yuille Weaver and Superintendent of Parks & Recreation Brett Simmons.
On a motion by Councilor Jerram, seconded by Councilor Colangelo, the Council voted unanimously to go into Executive Session pursuant to Connecticut General Statute § 1-210 (b) (5) (B) for the Torrington Twisters disclosure of its confidential financial information. Corporation Counsel Ernestine Weaver and Superintendent of Parks & Recreation Brett Simmons were invited into the session with Torrington Twister personnel, Robin Wadsworth, CEO and Chair; Rita Huber, President; and Kirk Fredriksson, General Manager.
On a motion by Councilor Dalla Valle, seconded by Councilor Colangelo, the Council voted to come out of executive session and adjourn the meeting. The meeting adjourned at 9:15 p.m.
