IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING BD OF TRUSTEES MEETING SCHEDULED FOR 6:30 PM

COUNCIL CHAMBERS

1.     Vote to accept the following:
A.  Minutes of the regular meeting held October 22, 2008.
B.  Minutes of the special meeting held October 27, 2008.

2.     Vote to open the meeting to the public.

 3.     Vote to adopt a Resolution and authorize the Mayor to enter into a PSA Contract with the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection for the fulfillment of the “America the Beautiful Grant” awarded to the Conservation Commission for the design, printing, and distribution of an Urban Tree Maintenance poster developed specifically for Torrington.

 4.     Vote to authorize the payment of $117,333.19 from the Sanitary Sewer Capital Improvement Fund #0490 to Hemlock Construction Company, Inc., for the sanitary sewer project Charles St. Relief Line at Winthrop St., and refer it to the Board of Finance.


 5.     Vote to accept the recommendation from the Services for the Elderly Commission to
waive the bid process and purchase two Meals on Wheels delivery vehicles from the sole vendor, Delivery Concepts.

6.     Vote to authorize the payment of $2,100.00 from Small Cities Fund #288 to Design, LLC for professional services rendered in regard to the Willow Gardens Senior Housing Project.

 7.     Vote to grant permission to the Northwestern Connecticut Transit District to schedule a public
         hearing to increase Candystriper fares.        

8.     Vote to accept the Building Department Report for September 2008.

9.     Vote on recommendation from the Ordinance Sub Committee.

10.     Vote on recommendations from the Small Cities Sub Committee.

11.     Vote to open the meeting to the public on “agenda items” only.

12.     Vote to consider business presented by Department Heads.

13.     Vote to consider business presented by the Mayor and members of the City Council.
