CABLE TELEVISION ADVISORY COUNCIL
March 13, 2014
A meeting of the Cable Television Advisory Council was held on March 13, 2014, at 6:30 p.m. at the Oliver Wolcott Library, South St., Litchfield, CT. A quorum was not present. Those in attendance, Gerry Gault, Diane Knox, Litchfield, Lucille Paige, Marie Soliani, Torrington. Also present was Jennifer Young, Cablevision representative.
Marie Soliani called the meeting to order at 6:38 p.m.
Diane Knox gave the Treasurer’s report as having a current balance of $2229.39.
Brief discussions were held on subjects below:
Gerry Gault – Poker Group and Book Club – programming; want ala carte; drop Cable and move to internet.
Marie Soliani – Less Spanish channels and more Cable competition
Diane Knox – where there are black outs, credit on bills should be given.
Senators R. Bluementhal and John McCain sponsoring a bill regarding the FCC.
Jennifer Young reported the Soapnet is leaving the network; announced new channel lineup.
The meeting concluded at 7:02 p.m.
