SPECIAL BOARD OF PUBLIC SAFETY
WEDNESDAY, August 19, 2009
A SPECIAL MEETING conference call meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the Mayors Office. Those in attendance included Mayor Ryan Bingham, Board of Safety Commissioners Richard L. Zaharek, Douglas J. Benedetto, James E. Potter, Christopher H. Cook, Corporation Counsel Ernestine Yuille Weaver, and Administrative Assistant to the Mayor Stephen Nocera. Chief Michael Maniago was on a conference call with the Mayor's Office during the meeting. A member of the press and the public were also in attendance.
Commissioners Gerald Zordan and Robert Zordan were absent.
On a motion by Commissioner Cook and seconded by Commissioner Zaharek, the Board after a lengthy discussion, voted unanimously to allow two weeks of free parking in the downtown metered area commencing on August 19, 2009.
On a motion by Commissioner Potter, seconded by Commissioner Benedetto, the Board voted to adjourn at 10:15 a.m.
