MINUTES BOARD OF PUBLIC SAFETY APRIL 13, 2009

A SPECIAL MEETING of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, April 13, 2009, in the Senior Center Main Room.

Those in attendance included Mayor Ryan J. Bingham, members of the Board of Public Safety Gerald A. Zordan, Douglas J. Benedetto, James E. Potter, Christopher Cook and Robert C. Zordan, Police Chief Michael Maniago, Police Captains Todd Schaller and Christopher Smedick, and Personnel Director Thomas Gritt.

Mayor Bingham called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

EXEC. SESSION #008 On a motion by Commissioner Potter, seconded by Commissioner R. Zordan, the Board voted unanimously to enter executive session under personnel at 7:02 p.m. Personnel Director Thomas Gritt and Police Chief Michael Maniago were invited. Commissioner Benedetto added that his concerns regarding the testing company used for the Deputy Police Chief position have been alleviated. He feels the testing process should continue as planned and trust that Bruce Davey & Associates will perform their duty without bias.

OPEN SESSION #29 On a motion by Commissioner G. Zordan, seconded by Commissioner Benedetto, the Board voted unanimously to return to open session at 7:25 p.m. |
TABLE: DISCUSSION DEPUTY POLICE CHIEF POSITION #33 On a motion by Commissioner Potter, seconded by Commissioner Benedetto, the Board voted unanimously to table the discussion/vote on the Deputy Police Chief position until Thursday, April 23, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. in the Senior Center.

ADJOURNMENT #45 On a motion by Commissioner Potter, seconded by Commissioner Cook, the board voted unanimously to adjourn at 7:30 p.m.
