BOARD OF PUBLIC SAFETY
December 18, 2015
A SPECIAL AND TELEPHONIC MEETING of the Board of Public Safety was held in the Mayor’s Office on Friday, December 18, 2015.
Those in attendance included Commissioners Richard Zaharek and Darlene Battle. Mayor Elinor Carbone and Commissioners Glenn McLeod and Robert Conforti participated by telephone along with Police Chief Michael Maniago. Commissioners Douglas Benedetto and Angelo LaMonica were absent.
Mayor Carbone called the meeting to order at 12:05 p.m.
EXECUTIVE SESSION: Police Dept. Personnel
On a motion by Commissioner Conforti, seconded by Commissioner McLeod, the Board voted unanimously to enter executive session under Police Dept. personnel at 12:06 p.m., inviting Police Chief Michael Maniago.
OPEN SESSION
On a motion by Commissioner Battle, seconded by Commissioner Zaharek, the Board voted unanimously to enter open session at 12:08 p.m.
HIRE PROBATIONARY POLICE OFFICER
On a motion by Commissioner McLeod, seconded by Commissioner Zaharek, the Board voted unanimously to hire Troy Noble as a Probationary Police Officer, with an effective date at the discretion of the Chief.
ADJOURNMENT
On a motion by Commissioner Zaharek, seconded by Commissioner Conforti, the Board voted unanimously to adjourn at 12:10 a.m.
