BOARD OF PUBLIC SAFETY
February 18, 2015
A SPECIAL AND TELEPHONIC MEETING of the Board of Public Safety was held in the Mayor’s Office on Wednesday, February 18, 2015.
Those in attendance included Mayor Elinor Carbone, Commissioners Douglas Benedetto, Glenn McLeod and Robert Conforti, along with Police Chief Michael Maniago and Deputy Police Chief Christopher Smedick. Commissioners Darlene Battle, Richard Zaharek and Angelo LaMonica participated by telephone.
Mayor Carbone called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m.
EXECUTIVE SESSION -- Police Dept. Personnel
On a motion by Commissioner Conforti, seconded by Commissioner Battle, the Board voted unanimously to enter Executive Session regarding Police Department Personnel at 2:01 p.m., inviting Chief Maniago and Deputy Chief Smedick.
OPEN SESSION
On a motion by Commissioner Benedetto, seconded by Commissioner Conforti, the Board voted unanimously to enter Open Session at 2:08 p.m.
PROMOTIONS - POLICE DEPT.
On a motion by Commissioner Benedetto, seconded by Commissioner Conforti, the Board voted unanimously to promote Nicole Santiago to the position of Detective, with an effective date to be determined by the Chief.
ADJOURNMENT
On a motion by Commissioner Benedetto, seconded by Commissioner McLeod, the Board voted unanimously to adjourn at 2:09 p.m.
