Postponed Regular December Meeting
Tuesday, December 19, 2017
Public Safety Complex

Attending:  Jean Armitage, Ruth Buchanan, Jennifer Clark, Mira Munson, Ann Skibski, David Spidal
Regrets: Patrick Storey

Regular December meeting was postponed for snow storm.

Meeting called together at 9:05 by Chairperson Buchanan

November meeting minutes reviewed and accepted as presented.

Outreach Worker Report reviewed and accepted.

The issue of withdrawal from the Southern Hilltown COAs Consortium, tabled from the November meeting, was discussed in length.  Pros and Cons were reviewed.  It was decided that there was little benefit for the town to remain a member.  Vote to withdraw was unanimous.  In compliance with the Intermunicipal Agreement, notice of withdrawal will be submitted before January 1, 2018, to be effective as of July 1, 2018.

The Meet Santa event was attended by 7 children and their respective parent(s).   Considering that snow had started falling, it was considered a success.  Santa arrived in large fire truck and left in a smaller one as the snow accumulated.

The possibility of starting a Brown Bag program was suggested.  Sally Munson, Director of Our Community Food Pantry, will be invited to attend the January meeting.

The possibility of holding a Valentine’s Day event for seniors on Wednesday 2/14 was suggested as a possible new activity and will be further discussed at January meeting.

Remaining items on agenda were tabled for the next regular meeting.  Meeting adjourned, 10:00.

Respectfully submitted,

Jean Armitage, for Patrick Storey
