MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING – April 23, 2018 5:00 PM

Jessica would like the board to consider renovating the kitchen area at the Tolland Public Library. Jessica received a quote from SS Home Improvement in the amount of $2,500. Renovations will be budgeting for Fiscal 2019.
Jessica suggested that a line item of $1,000 be included in the Fiscal 2019 budget to cover fire alarm service calls.
The Town of Tolland Board of Assessors had been notified of the possibility of a solar array being installed on Clubhouse Road. The solar company questioned if the Board of Selectmen would be interested in discussing a “tax agreement/pilot”. Jessica referred the company to meet with the Board of Selectmen.
Ed presented the board with truck options. Stephen Messenger was sent to look at a 2008 International, Single Axle. List price is $47,000. Vehicle is being considered.
Ed also presented the board with pricing for the purchase of a pickup truck, pricing came in from Central for a 2018 2500 Dodge Ram $38,244.49 to a 2018 K2500 Chevy from Liberty with a price of $42,893.70. Eric moved to authorize the purchase of the 2018 2500 Dodge Ram from Central, seconded by Steve. The motion carried unanimously
Ed looked into the purchasing of 2 cell phones to be used for the Tolland Police Department. The purchase price of the phones is $99/ea, $60/mth for unlimited talk and text. Ed will use his current cell number for the line. Steve moved to authorize, seconded by Patrick. The motion carried unanimously
