MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING – September 11, 2017 5:00 PM

Davio notified the board that VHP will be holding additional events in continuation to their early event the next two weekends. Davio inquired if the events fees are covered under the original permit?
Davio asked if it would be possible to even waive fees for small events.
Eric felt that a $300 event fee for smaller groups is too high. Steve suggested a reduced fee of $75 for charitable or nonprofit organizations.
Davio requested permission for Timber Trails to use the Transfer Station to dispose of recyclables only. A fee of $1,584.00 was charged to the Girl Scouts of Connecticut to use the Transfer Station for trash and recyclables. The fee was charged based on the amount of trash the camp generated. Timber Trails hasn’t completed a full season to base anything on. The board will discuss further and meet with Davio of Timber Trails on Monday, September 25th.
Davio informed the board that liability insurance coverage is required by the event holder as well as Friends of Dance New England.
