MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING – March 27, 2017 5:00 PM

Steve made motion to appoint Shawn Shaw to Complete Jeff LaCasse’s elected term as Planning Board member until June 30, 2018. Jeff LaCasse will remain as a Planning Board member alternate. Tom seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
Eric Munson, III, Fire Chief will be presenting the Tolland taxpayers at the Annual town Meeting with an article to purchase a new fire truck with a purchase price of $486,000.
Steve made motion to reinstate compensatory time as stated in the personnel policies and procedures handbook as follows:
Exempt employees are provided with compensatory time when special events or circumstances require substantial additional hours of work. Any hours worked in excess of the normal workweek, from Sunday through Saturday, must be approved by the employee’s supervisor. Compensatory time must be taken within one month of the payroll period in which it was earned. Compensatory time for approved working hours is provided on the following basis:
8 or more hours 1 day
20 or more hours 2 days
30 or more hours at discretion of Board of Selection
Board met with the Finance Committee to discuss and finalize fiscal 2018 budget requests. (numbers are the difference from fiscal 2017)
