MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING – December 16, 2013 5:00 PM
Selectmen Present: Eric R. Munson, Jr. and Steven DellaGiustina
Also Present: Ed Deming
The Board of Selectmen received a donation of $50 from Stephen and Elaine Strinie for the purpose of purchasing decorations for the tree located in the center of town.
Ed presented the board with a letter requesting that the Selectmen take to vote an article to vote to petition the General Court for passage of a Special Act reading as follows:
Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, Lester M. Walker, an Officer of the Police Department of the Town of Tolland, may be instated as a Police Officer in such position until he reaches 70 years of age; provided however, that he is mentally and physically capable of performing the duties of such office. Lester M. Walker, must be examined by a physician to determine such capability.
