MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING – November 18, 2013 5:00 PM

Minutes of the previous meeting were read and accepted.
Community Holiday Pot Luck Party scheduled for Friday, December 13th. Jean and Ruth are organizing the event and will create flyers.
Erik Kaiser of Century 21 spoke to the board with regards to the Town of Tolland purchasing Map 410 Lot 2 for $400,000 (182 acre parcel). The Selectboard is only interested in part of the 182 acre parcel, approximately 55 acres. Eric stated that the assessed value of the 55 acre parcel is $142,200. Erik speaking on the behalf of Whitney Bonadies gave the Selectboard an offer of $175,000 for 77 acres. Eric made an offer of $162,400 which is the assessed value. Erik will discuss the information with Whitney Bonadies. The offer will also be discussed at the next Board of Selectmen’s meeting when all three Selectmen are present.
Ed Deming had some concerns with a driveway permit request. The driveway would be located on Hartland Road for the purpose of WPOA logging.
