MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING – May 13 , 2013 5:05 PM

Minutes of the previous meeting were read and accepted.
Cindy Saulenas received a letter from Stephen J. Presnal, Business Manager Southwick Tolland Granville Regional School District regarding the school bus transportation schedule for her child. (letter attached)
Cindy’s suggestion is to keep a van at the Public Safety Complex to be used as a feeder run so that no Tolland student would be on the bus longer then 50 minutes. Stephen Presnal will be asked to meet with the Selectboard.
Sargeant Ed Deming, ask if Police Officer applicants could ride along with Tolland’s present officer’s this weekend to get a feel for Tolland? Authorization granted.
Ed has met with All State Paving and has schedule the chip seal of Clark, Beetle and Covell Road for the week of May 22nd.
Joanne Duval informed the Selectboard of her meeting with William Morin of Wastequip. William’s suggestion on switching the transfer Station recycling system to a single stream from separate containers would not be advised based on Tolland’s usage. Authorization was given to Joanne to purchase two new recycling containers with lids and doors. The total cost of the containers is $14,558.
Charlie Adams requested an update on the status of the Senior Work off Program.
