MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING – March 25 , 2013 5:00 PM

Health Inspector Valerie Bird in to discuss housing violations at 16 Colebrook River Rd. The property does not have potable water. It is the owner’s responsibility to provide water (105 CMR 410.180).After numerous attempts by the owner to rectify the situation; the downstairs tenant has vacated the dwelling at the owner’s expense. Discussion also ensued about the upstairs tenant, notably the owner’s mother. It was decided that VB would send a letter to the owner regarding the upstairs tenant
Mira Munson representing the Cemetery Committee presented a landscaping plan for the Twining Cemetery. It had been stated that the committee will have to seek three written or oral quotations from no fewer than three persons. The current available funds were stated to be $9,863.
LaCasse Land Management, Bergeron and Bill Walker will be contacted to quote Tolland’s Lawn Care needs.
Ed Deming has called Volvo to get an up to date quote for a new grader. The trade in value for the existing grader is $30,000.
Ed will be using a ½” dense grade of lime rock on the dirt roads.
The Board of Selectmen has nominated Joanne Duval as Inspector of Animals.
