MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING – March 11 , 2013 5:00 PM

Ed Deming, discussed the location and liability of having a privately owned vehicle parked (tractor trailer) on town property. The Board of Selectmen has requested that the tractor trailer find a new location by April 1st.
The Condition of Amos Case Road – Ed was informed from Doug Roberts, Granville Highway Superintendent that Tolland is not obligated to rebuild a road on the basis of a request made by MDC. Legal counsel will be asked for his opinion.
Michael Garrold, MIIA reviewed Tolland’s property & casualty insurance and Accident & sickness coverage for the Volunteer Firefighters and Police Officers which are currently covered under VFIS.
Tolland’s current benefits for Volunteer Firefighters and Police Officer’s are as follows:
Loss of Life $25,000/
McNamara Medical Expenses $ 20,000
Medical deductible (per claim) None
Weekly Disability (1st 4wks/after 4 wks) 200/600
WD elimination period None
VFIS will be requested to quote additional coverage
Loss of Life $50,000
McNamara Medical Expenses $100,000 $200,000
Weekly Disability 400/600
The Board of Selectmen appointed Mark Levernock, Assistant Plumbing Inspector
