MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING – October 22, 2012 5:00 PM
Selectmen Present: Eric R. Munson, Jr., Steven DellaGiustina and Thomas Paine

Minutes of the previous meeting were read and accepted.
The Board of Selectmen will be requesting email address’s from all department heads to be used for the purpose of notifications of meetings and upcoming events.
Reviewed the plans for the renovations of the Town Hall. Quotes/bids will be required to be returned to the Board of Selectmen on November 12th at 5PM.
Fiscal 2014 budget requests will be due February 11, 2013.
Budget Hearing and town caucus has been scheduled for May 6th.
Annual town meeting is scheduled for May 20, 2013.
Eric Munson, III asked about an officer to observe during routine patrols. The following was the response:
Definitions on the policy for who is an insured person. It reads any active full time part time or Auxiliary/special police person officially designated by the policy holder and any bystander deputized at the time of an emergency by an official of the police department for the duration of the emergency. So really unless this person is a counted in this definition there would be no coverage for any Illness or injury.
Eric discussed the possibility of hiring 2 officers to cover when officers are not able to cover there scheduled shift. There would not be an increase in hours just the cost of purchasing two uniforms. The Selectboard will discuss the officers at a later meeting.
