Eric Munson III, Police Chief was requested to have an officer run radar on Hartland Road. Eric suggested using equipment that is available to count cars, report time and speed. The SelectBoard agreed to use the equipment.
VFIS was asked about liability coverage for an officer to observe during routine patrols. The following was the response:
Definitions on the policy for who is an insured person. It reads any active full time part time or Auxiliary/special police person officially designated by the policy holder and any bystander deputized at the time of an emergency by an official of the police department for the duration of the emergency. So really unless this person is a counted in this definition there would be no coverage for any Illness or injury.
The insurance provider and legal counsel will be asked about the signing of a waiver.
Mira submitted 3 written quotes for the landscaping plans (plantings) for the Twining Cemetery. The Board of Selectmen will be making a decision at their next Selectmen’s meeting.
Meeting adjourned at 7:35PM
Respectfully submitted,
Margaret McClellan
